New York City visit for Sport Marketing and Management and Sport Communication majors

The Office of Career Services at the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington recently lead a group of 20 top Sport Marketing and Management and Sport Communication majors in the Department of Kinesiology to New York City to network with sports industry executives.

Participants were selected from a competitive pool of applicants for the program. The group met with professionals at the NBA League Office, NHL Headquarters, Madison Square Garden, and Yankee Stadium. Students also networked with alumni at a Dean’s Alumni Reception in Rockefeller Plaza. Meetings with industry leaders included discussions about global marketing, sport sponsorship, social media, sales, and corporate hospitality.
